Amos Geva was selected to be a member of the jury at the Les Arcs Film Festival Talent Village. The Talent Village was created on the 10th edition of Les Arcs Film Festival. It aims at encouraging the rise of a new generation of daring and ambitious directors, as well as accompanying them in the journey of their first feature film.
Every year, a director is asked to be the godfather or godmother of the Talent Village.
Last year’s edition godfather was the famous Danish filmmaker, Thomas Vinterberg (Festen,The Hunt, Kursk). After watching the talent’s previous short films, he exchanged with them about his experience. This year the French actress Isabelle Huppert will do us the honor of being the 2019 Talents' Ambassador.
She will meet them during les Arcs Industry days, where the selected directors will also have the opportunity of presenting their first feature projects to the Industry participants within the frame of the coproduction market.
For its 2nd edition, the Talent Village will introduce 8 upcoming directors, 4 women and 4 men coming from 7 countries, to the film industry.
Before attending Les Arcs Industry Village, the Talent Village participants will take part in a 3 day workshop at the CineFabrique Film School in Lyon, where they will attend a masterclass by the Hungarian director László Nemes (Son of Saul, Sunset) and benefit from the encounters with the producer Katrin Pors – Snowglobe (Denmark), the sales agent Jean-Christophe Simon – Film Boutique (France/Germany), the festival programmer Beatrice Fiorentino – Venice Critics' Week (Italy), the music supervisor Rebecca Delannet – My Melody (France).
The 8 directors will also compete for the T-Port Award of a value of 1.500€.
